The Legislative Process
A legislative hearing is one of the first steps a bill must take to become law.
A public hearing is what affords the opportunity for all interested parties to testify in favor of or against a bill—one of the best ways to ensure the voices of the public is heard.
What is Testimony?
Testimony is how you can advocate for the passage of a bill! If you are interested in submitting testimony, you can provide so in-person or in writing. Testimony may be submitted directly to the respective comittee chairs which the bill is assigned, or through my office.
